8th September 2016 Windsurfing: Rhosneigr Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: F5 Surf / Sea State: waves then choppy waves Air Temperature: 18 Sea Temperature: 16.7 Weather: sun Max Speed: 23.8 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 21 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Gary advised 95l/4.7m which felt right but when I hit the water wind had dropped a bit, frustrating as 1-2 knots of planing all the time. Knocked off in lulls and washed ashore for walk of shame. Had a couple of more goes at barely planing and shorter walks back then sat it out until wind increased again then had good time nicely powered then well powered to flatten sail. Good sized waves to ride down which added chop as sea reached high, so packed up as tired. Did think of trying 86l but think 95l was better with lulls. Pleased with progress. Just about 4*, and hope I'll get better |
